The Culinary Institute of America is the leading culinary school in the United States, and has trained more than 50,000 chefs. Karen created a professional wine school within the Institute, including developing the wine school’s curriculums, classes, policies, and certifications. Under Karen’s guidance, the wine school evolved to become the multi-million dollar wine teaching facility known as the Rudd Center for Professional Wine Studies, of which Karen is now Chairman Emeritus.
