The Number 1 new wine product in the U.S. in 2023 was Stella Rosa’s Pineapple & Chili wine, one of three new flavors in Stella Rosa’s “Spicy Series.” Stella Rosa wines are made from Moscato d’Asti grapes in the Piedmont region of Italy and imported by the Riboli family, an American company based in Los Angeles. The flavored wine blends are low in alcohol (5.5% abv), semi-sweet, and frizzante (lightly sparkling). Pineapple & Chili wine, which retails for $13, is meant to be served chilled or mixed with spirits to create a cocktail. Stella Rosa is one of the 30 largest wine brands in the U.S., selling over 700,000 cases domestically and 6.3 million globally, according to Wine Business Monthly.
