Vouvray is an appellation in the Loire Valley of France. All Vouvrays are made from Chenin Blanc. Vouvray wines range in style from very dry to very sweet and everything in between. A medium dry Vouvray is also known as “classic.” It’s the most traditional style of Vouvray from the region. Although the term medium-dry might suggest that the wine is a little sweet, Vouvray usually has enough balancing acidity that the wine tastes completely dry.
