Go, Virginia. Last year, Virginia recorded an increase of 2% in the number of wineries in the state, bringing the total to 395, according to WineBusiness Monthly, WineBusiness Analytics, and data from the US Bureau of Tax and Trade. As for Texas, New York, and Washington, all three saw decreases in the number of wineries, although all three states still each have more wineries than Virgina.
