40% of all the Riesling in the world is grown in Germany, and virtually all of Germany’s best wines are made from it. Percentagewise, Germany makes the most Riesling, followed by Alsace, Washington State and Austria. There are approximately 56,000 acres of vineyards in Germany dedicated to the grape. March 13^th is International Riesling Day.
