In this week’s wine news, nearly 50% of the stories from writers and critics were about age. Here are some headlines:
- Can X Wine Age?
- Tasting of B Reveals B Can Age!
- The Question of Ageability and C Wine
- This Ageworthy D Wine Has Genuine Longevity
Is anyone else worried by this?
First, we know that the vast majority of wines are aged as long as it takes to get the wine home from the store. Second, even among people who would be inclined to keep a case or more around, how many have wine cellars? If even 10% of US wine drinkers have a wine cellar, I’d be shocked.
Why then so much focus over and over again on NOT DRINKING the wine now? The following content is accessible for members only, please sign in.
